I am thrilled to announce continued progress on the Septuagint translation, Project LXX, with the completion of Exodus Chapter 13!
This release extends the available LXX Modern English Translation (LXX-MET) and the accompanying Notes Module through this pivotal moment in Israel’s history—the initial journey out of Egypt and the preparation for the Red Sea crossing.
What’s Included in This Release?
The files are now available for download, containing the updated Exodus Bible module and its companion Translation Notes module for e-Sword.
Exodus Bible Module (LXX-MET EXO): A literal modern English translation of Exodus 1:1 through Exodus 13:22.
Exodus Notes Module: This resource features detailed Greek word analysis and occasional Hebrew word comparisons, followed by theological reflection and commentary for every verse in the completed chapters.
This module is based on the authoritative Alfred Rahlfs’ 1935 critical edition and adheres to our commitment to making the ancient Greek text accessible and transparent.
Distribution and Access
This chapter-by-chapter release is provided completely free of charge and is released in its draft form to give you immediate access to our latest work.
If you have a previous version of the Exodus module installed, remember the simple update process: Simply copy the new modules over the existing files in your e-Sword folder (likely in the Program Files (x86) folder). If you need more detailed instructions please see our video tutorial.
